Teaching Opportunites
This summer The Arts Council of West Chester & Liberty will hold high quality workshops for children and adults at Keehner Park in West Chester and at a park in Liberty Township. Workshops will run from June 18-23 in West Chester and dates are still being determined in Liberty Township. Each workshop will be 2 hours long. Four workshops will be held each day Two workshops from 9-11am and two workshops from 12:00-2pm.
The Arts Council is currently interviewing for the following positions.
Visual Art/Photography Instructor
Description: Develop lesson plan and teach 2 hour outdoor workshops. Instructors will create lesson plan for a child or adult workshop. Each lesson should result in a take home art piece/photography project and introduce students to new techniques and/or materials in a fun and hands-on manner.
Requirements: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Fine Art, Photography or Art Education.
Stipend: $60.00 per workshops.
Hours: Instructors will need to develop and submit lesson plan and materials (The Arts Council provides all materials for the classes). The instructor will need to arrive 45 min before the class for set-up and sign in. Instructors must remain on site after the class until clean up is completed and all students have been signed out by a parent or guardian.

Performance/Theatre Instructors
Description: Develop lesson plan and teach 2 hour outdoor workshops in dance, acting, or other performance disciplines. Instructors will create lesson plan for a child or adult workshop. Each lesson should result in hands-on training in improvisational techniques, audition skills, stage performance, dance technique or other motivational and fun training required in the discipline.
Requirements: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Dance, Theatre or the field of study.
Stipend: $60.00 per workshops.
Hours: Instructors will need to develop and submit lesson plan and materials (The Arts Council provides all materials for the classes). The instructor will need to arrive 45 min before the class for set-up and sign in. Instructors must remain on site after the class until clean up is completed and all students have been signed out by a parent or guardian.

Instructors will create lesson plan for a child or adult workshop. Each lesson should result in hands-on training in a musical instrument, audition skills, stage performance, voice technique, musical theory or other motivational and fun training required in the discipline.
Requirements: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Music or Music Education
Stipend: $60.00 per workshops.
